1-5-21   THOUGHTS

GOD IS HOLY, and He is serious about his people being holy!  We are to be “separated apart for a purpose”, and living for Jesus is the role we take.  
Matt 6:24  "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”
I think it is time for us to get serious about what we ABSORB FROM THE WORLD ( and just as powerfully... WHAT WE DO NOT ABSORB FROM GOD!)  
THE INPUT TO MY HEART AND SOUL is the discussion.  
2Cor 6:11-7:1      Our mouth has spoken freely to you, O Corinthians, our heart is opened wide. 12  You are not restrained by us, but you are restrained in your own affections. 13  Now in a like exchange — I speak as to children — open wide to us also. 14  Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15  Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? 16  Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, "I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. 17  "Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE," says the Lord. "AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN; And I will welcome you. 18  "And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me," Says the Lord Almighty.
1 ¶  Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Prov 4:20-27    My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. 21  Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. 22  For they are life to those who find them And health to all their body. 23  Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. 24  Put away from you a deceitful mouth And put devious speech far from you. 25  Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. 26  Watch the path of your feet And all your ways will be established. 27  Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil.
Maybe it’s time for us to “Come out from the MIDDLE of this CULTURE” of ours and be SEPARATED FOR GOD!  Can you and I begin some thinking in the area?  Today maybe?

My Prayer:
Oh God to be praised always, help our hearts to turn to you in all things.  Help us to examine the habits and patterns of our lives, and cast off what hinders us from a closer walk with you. Soften our minds.   Remove hardness from our hearts and restore to us a right spirit.  Help us to seek your truth and not what is comfortable or handy.                    In Jesus name     Amen
